Dennis Brown sings about the repatriation and thier supiritual homeland ethiopia on the rhythm track laied by Aswad who is one of the most influencial British reggae band. After its release in 1982, the song became well-recoganized as another 80's classic roots tune and versioned many times later.

In the 90's, many popular labels such as Digital B and Xterminator have versioned the rhythm and Garnett Silk's 'Keep Them Talking', Luciano's 'Must Raggamuffin' became popular among those releases.

Entering the millennium, EU based Heartical label & UK based Sip A Cup have released their hard htting new 'Promise Land' rhythm. In 2010, Damian Marley & Nas also has collaborated and sampled unforgettable line of Dennis Brown.
