It is often said that the bassline of the rhythm was derived from a hit tune called 'Dangerous' by Conroy Smith on the Redman label. The impact on the scene was very clear as Dennis Star, Jah Life have respectively versioned this hit rhythm.
Recently, Birchill label has versioned it to create the 'Baddaz' rhythm and it secured other hits on the rhythm.
